Welcome to US Citizenship Test - 2026 Edition (the "Application"), developed as an educational preparation tool to help individuals study and master the official 100 Civics questions for the United States Naturalization test.

Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. We built this Application with a strict offline-first, privacy-by-design architecture. This policy details our data practices, what information is processed, and how your privacy is protected when you use our mobile applications on Android and iOS.

To provide an optimal study experience, the Application saves your learning progress strictly locally on your device (using device sandboxed storage such as SQLite, Room Database, and SharedPreferences / UserDefaults):

• Practice & Mock Exam Progress: Quiz scores, passing history, time spent per exam, and completion rates.
• Question Bookmarks & Flags: Questions you flag for review or difficult questions requiring extra practice.
• State & Region Preferences: Your selected U.S. state to dynamically display your specific Governor, Senators, and State Capital.
• App Settings: Audio playback preferences, dark/light theme toggles, and notification reminder schedules.

None of this data is ever synced to our servers, uploaded to the cloud, or shared with third parties.

The Application may offer optional premium features (such as Lifetime Pro or ad-free upgrades). All transactions are processed directly by the respective platform store:

• Google Play Store: Managed securely via Google Play Billing API.
• Apple App Store: Managed securely via Apple StoreKit API.

We do not process, collect, or store any credit card numbers, billing addresses, or financial information. All payment processing is subject to Google's and Apple's respective privacy policies and terms of service.

The Application requests only the minimal permissions required for core educational functionality:

• Audio Playback: Used locally to play native pronunciation audio for the 100 civics questions and answers.
• Notifications (Optional): If you choose to enable daily study reminders, the Application schedules local on-device notifications. You can disable this anytime in App Settings or system notification settings.

To maintain application stability and performance, we may utilize standard platform diagnostic tools (such as Google Play Services and Google Firebase Crashlytics). These services collect anonymous, non-identifiable diagnostic metrics (e.g., device model, OS version, and crash stack traces) strictly to fix bugs and improve reliability.

The Application is designed for general audiences and naturalization applicants. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Since no personal data is collected from any user, our application is fully compliant with COPPA and GDPR provisions.

Because all application data is stored locally in your device's isolated application sandbox, you maintain 100% control over your data:

• You can reset your quiz history, bookmarks, and statistics anytime from the in-app Settings → Reset Progress option.
• Uninstalling the Application or clearing the Application data via your device's System Settings permanently erases all stored records immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. Any updates will be posted directly to this page with an updated "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
